This page will feature events that Curtin FM organizes that involve our listeners. Such things as radiothons, cabarets, film screenings, outside broadcasts,  travel opportunities and the like will be publicised beforehand here, and after the events, they will be described.

Have-A-Go Day - The annual Have-A-Go Day as part of Senior's Week was once again a huge success. Curtin FM undertook an outside broadcast featuring the regular shows of Peter Waltham and Liz Pye. Pictured below is Liz with Chris Siemer who was the regional award winner of the "Living Longer, Living Stronger" programme.

Peter Waltham's Kalgoorlie Trip - On the weekend of 24th to 26th October Peter took a group of listeners to Kalgoorlie by train. Once there, they enjoyed some great social activities and outings.

Here we see Peter enjoying himself and showing that paying attention to those old Fred Astaire films does have benefits!!

Open Day 2008

The 2008 Open Day was a huge success. Many listeners took advantage of the fine sunny weather to come out to the studios and enjoy a full-on day of varied activities.

Peter Newman's trip to Las Vegas and Memphis, 2009 Peter will be taking a group of listeners to visit New Orleans, the amazing city of Las Vegas and Memphis, the home of The King in 2009. Naturally the trip will include a visit to Graceland, Elvis's home in Memphis and now the site of his grave. After that, there will be a Carribean Cruise!!! Listeners are invited to register their interest in this trip by contacting Mal King at Quality Travel on 9246 3330. It is proposed that the tour will leave Perth in April 2009 and be away for approx 21 days
