Karl O'Callaghan, Guest presenter 

KARL O'CALLAGHAN is WA's doo-wop cop. The Police Commissioner is a relief presenter on Curtin FM and can be heard filling in for various regular announcers when they are away. Karl had a musical childhood, often listening to 78s his grandmother used to play when he was growing up in the UK, which nurtured his interest in all kinds of music. Karl came to WA in 1970 and played in bands, even when he was going to university and eventually joined the police force. Karl welcomes the stints at the station, which is a pleasant break from the serious commitments of his regular job. He cuts a mean tango on the dance floor and currently plays in a band called The Filth!
