Drive: Making your drive home easier with good music, quizzes, witty repartee and frequent live traffic reports

KEITH TAYLOR began his career in Melbourne in 1960, when he attended the Lee Murray School of Radio Announcing - at the time regarded as the best in Australia.
Born in Rivervale, Keith returned to WA when he joined 6PM-AM. He was later recruited by 6KY-NA, and in 1963 joined 6PR, where he became one of the original 6PR Good Guys - of that group, only three are still with us today.
Keith's career took him to Tasmania, where he first ventured into television, and a stint at BTQ 7, Brisbane followed.  Keith then accepted a position as station manager in regional Victorian radio, where he also developed his first broadcast training school.  But once a sandgroper, always a sandgroper, and Keith came back to WA, and worked as a media consultant and railway policeman before joining Curtin Radio and presenting a popular early evening program five nights a week, and then moving to his current drivetime slot in 2001.
Keith has decided to step down from the role of Curtin FM's programme manager at the end of 2010. He will continue on as Drive Presenter and continue to train new broadcasters. Away from the Mic, Keith has a passion for pistol shooting.  Keith is Club Captain of the Whiteman Park International Pistol Club.  He is also a fully qualified range officer and an accredited firearms instructor and enjoys travelling to local, country, interstate and overseas competitions.
