Liz Pye, Weekdays Noon to 3pm
Afternoons with Liz: A magazine show for seniors including regular commentators on a range of topics such as community issues, world politics, and consumer protection. Books reviewed and given away. And of course, great music.
LIZ PYE joined the 6NR (as it was then) team back in 1997 as a volunteer producer for Pieta O'Shaughnessy. By April of 1998 Pieta asked Liz to produce for her on a full-time basis and they began a happy working relationship which lasted until 2001. During those years Liz qualified as an on-air presenter and also operated the panel for guest presenter John Paul Young when he hosted breakfast during the summer break.
Liz re-joined the Curtin FM 100.1 team in 2002 where she had two demanding roles, that of producer for Pieta and also administrative officer. Taking a slight breather in 2004, she focussed solely on administration when young Emmie Blanks joined the station as producer of the afternoon show.
Liz presents the afternoon show at Curtin FM 100.1 and brings you a blend of music, chat, interviews, book reviews and quizzes.
She and her husband are avid 4-wheel drivers with Variety WA, which supports sick, disadvantaged and disabled children in WA - a charity they are both passionate about as they have three beautiful children of their own.
